Community Outreach
As a family company with a long history in Tennessee, Georgia, and Kentucky, The Bailey Company takes its role in the community seriously. We strive to not only act as an ethical company, but to make an impact in the community via charitable donations and employee volunteer work.
Whether its a financial donation to a local church group's service trip or volunteering with Meals on Wheels (see article below), we aim to be a positive force in the community - and not just the best forklift provider. As of January 2011, company employees have delivered approximately 13,680 meals through the Meals On Wheels program in Nashville. They have been named Martha O'Bryan Center's Volunteer of the Year, and have served on the boards of Martha O'Bryan and Park Manor Assisted Living. Employees are involved with assisting homeless communities, affordable housing projects, and many other community projects.

As the next step in our continuing efforts to better our community through active participation, we are considering a plan that will not only allow but encourage employees to donate their time during work hours. We will be utilizing our website employee message forum to brainstorm, making the development of our community outreach program truly a company-wide collaborative effort in the spirit of the program.
