Ringgold, Georgia: Recovering from the Tornado
In April 2011 a tornado destroyed much of Ringgold, Georgia. The tornado that hit Cherokee Valley Road leveled homes, restaurants, and stores, and seven people died. While much of what was destroyed has now been rebuilt, there is still much left to be done. Right after the disaster, a number of businesses and relief agencies stepped in to help. The American Red Cross volunteers provided shelter and basic supplies and Firehouse Subs donated sandwiches. The Bailey Company donated the use of a forklift truck to a food bank supplying meals to the people impacted by the tornado.
As a company and a family, we are glad we could could help our greater community deal with this catastrophe. Our hearts go out to those that were affected.
